About this recipe
I only post recipes that I have tried and verified and are good to my taste — all taste may vary.
Baking the sliders as one sheet steams the cheese onto the beef and keeps the rolls from drying out. The butter on the tops is what browns them.
Ingredients
Method
-
01
Heat the oven to 350°F. Mix the beef with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire. Press it into a thin sheet the size of the rolls and brown it in a skillet, about 4 minutes per side. Drain the fat.
-
02
Set the roll bottoms in a baking dish. Lay on the beef, then the cheese and pickles. Cap with the roll tops.
-
03
Stir the butter with the onion powder and brush the tops. Add sesame seeds if you like.
-
04
Cover with foil and bake 12 minutes. Uncover and bake until the tops are golden, about 5 minutes more. Cut along the seams.
Notes & swaps
- A swipe of burger sauce on the roll bottoms is worth doing before the beef goes down.
- Swap the beef for a turkey blend and add a tablespoon of oil so the sheet does not dry out.
