Spread polenta while hot; it sets firm as it cools.

Ingredients

1 cup polenta cooked with 4 cups water and 1/2 cup Parmesan
1 lb Italian sausage
2 bell peppers
1 onion sliced
2 cup marinara
1 1/2 cup mozzarella

Method

Heat oven to 400°F. Spread cooked polenta in a buttered 9x13.

Brown sausage; cook peppers and onion 8 minutes; stir in marinara.

Spread over polenta, top with cheese and bake 20–25 minutes.
