Rub a heavy saucepan or fondue pot with garlic. Add wine and lemon; heat to steaming.

Toss cheeses with cornstarch and add by handfuls, stirring in a figure-eight until each melts.

Stir in kirsch and nutmeg once smooth.

Keep warm over a low burner and dip away.
