About this recipe

I only post recipes that I have tried and verified and are good to my taste — all taste may vary.

Toasting the nuts first makes them taste twice as nutty and keeps them crisp in the filling.

Ingredients

Method

  1. 01

Heat oven to 350°F. Toast pecans on a sheet 8 minutes; cool.

  2. 02

Whisk eggs, sugar, syrup, butter, bourbon, vanilla and salt.

  3. 03

Spread pecans in the crust and pour the filling over.

  4. 04

Bake on a sheet 50–55 minutes until the center is just set and puffed; tent the edges if they brown too fast.

  5. 05

Cool at least 2 hours before slicing.
