Bake pecan pie on a preheated sheet pan so the bottom crust cooks through, not soggy.

Ingredients

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust chilled
1 1/2 cup pecan halves toasted
4 oz bittersweet chocolate chopped
3 eggs
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp butter melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Method

Heat oven to 350°F.

Scatter pecans and chocolate in the crust.

Whisk eggs, syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt; pour over.

Bake 50–55 minutes until puffed and just set.

Cool 3 hours before slicing.
